Hi, my name is Kathleen, and you’ve arrived at my blog, Two Lattes. I was a nurse for almost forty years and have been a seamstress for most of my life. Nowadays, I enjoy drinking coffee and spending time with my three sons, eight wonderful grandchildren, and Cairn Terrier, Latte. I created this blog to pass on my wisdom from the many years I’ve spent on this earth. I hope to assist readers in becoming their own health advocate, to reflect on changes I’ve noticed from the past to the present, and to share my hobbies and interests.
Where I’m From
I am from Pillsbury’s Best flour, from Bordon’s milk, and Eight O’Clock coffee.
I am from a white bungalow house with a large front porch and a postage size lawn.
It felt warm and safe.
I am from blueberries and strawberries, plump purple and red, kissed by the sun.
I’m from the large family dinners and quick tempers.
From Kathryn and James and Grandma Rosalie.
I’m from the hard workers and do-it-yourselfers.
From patience and children should be seen and not heard.
I’m from Catholic faith and superstitions.
I’m from Dearborn and Italian ancestry.
Ravioli and Red Wine.
From the coal miner of W. Virginia and the long boat ride to the United States of America.
And scattered, unorganized pictures of many generations.
I am from strong family values of honesty, trust, and love.
